Commercial Residential Aluminum (CRA) was started by Tom Teffenhart, our President and CEO. Specializing in custom swimming pool enclosures and screened lanais, he started out when pool cages were literally being designed with chalk on driveways. Tom drew upon his experience as a mechanical draftsman and created engineering calculations that ensured structural integrity. As a result of his entrepreneurial and innovative reputation, business grew quickly.
In 1992, Perry Hickok brought a wealth of management and Aluminum industry expertise to the table when he joined CRA as Tom’s partner. We substantially expanded our product line and are now Florida’s most recognized aluminum company. We serve both residential and commercial clients and take our customer relationships seriously. CRA remains innovative and continues to revolutionize the industry. Tom, who holds a special Aluminum Structure license, designed and patented the ChannelLock Self-Mating beam that is revolutionizing the aluminum industry. This beam is only available to our customers. It is stronger and spans a further distance, which enables us to produce pool cages less expensively and pass that savings to you, our customer. In addition, all of our products have either a Florida Builders Approval Certification or a NOA (Miami/Dade) approval to ensure that you are hurricane ready. CRA takes pride in being fully licensed and insured to accommodate all of your needs. We operate throughout the state of Florida, with a concentration in Pasco, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties.
