The Best Way To Get Mold Off of Your Pool Enclosure

Mold appears out of nowhere. You can sit outside and enjoy your ScenicView screen enclosure and the protection it provides for a whole day, but the very next day, you notice green or brown mold sprouting on your screens. Unfortunately, mold can grow quickly. So as soon as mold begins to creep over your pool screens, clean it immediately! Look below to discover the best way to get mold off of your pool enclosure.

Step 1: Power Wash

When you see mold on your screen, use a power washer to remove the majority of the mold from your screen. If you don’t have a power washer sitting in your garage, it’s no problem. You can easily rent a power washer or borrow your neighbor’s equipment.

Step 2: Soak With Vinegar & Water Solution

After you spray the screens with a power washer, it’s time to remove the mold completely with a vinegar and water solution. This solution will help remove the roots of the mold and prevent it from growing back anytime soon. The vinegar and water solution is easy to make at home. It’s a 50/50 ratio of warm water to vinegar. Mix this solution together and spray it over the mold. Then, allow it to sit for around 10 to 15 minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Scrub Mold off the Enclosure

If you notice any remaining mold on your screen, it’s time to gently scrub it off with a brush. After you soak it with the vinegar and water solution, any excess mold should slough off easily. And remember, do not push too hard on the screen as you scrub since you do not want to damage it!

Step 4: Rinse Until Clean

And finally, the last step is to take your power washer and rinse off your enclosure until it is clean. And there you have it! That’s the best way to get mold off of your pool enclosure.
